AHM
Just came back from camp, so tired man.. Ytd was the glorious army half marathon(AHM) run, its also the 1st time i saw so many runners.. No matter male or female, everyone face is just so excited and looking forward to the run. The starting point was somewhere near esplanade, starting line up was so crowded that i cant even see the starting line when the run was commented. Runners from all over the countries participated, countries include india, korea, thailand, indonesia, malaysia, china, japan and a few more which i forgotten. One interesting thing is that they have lots of small little ways to overcome the run, example like eating chocolate or bananas, listen to music etc. About 60 000 pple cluster at the road between fullerton & esplanade, the run stretches all the way to east coast which is the turning point(around 11km). On the way we ran pass the big big ferry wheel, shears bridge, nicoll highway. Wow, 1st time ran such a long distance, the pain you have to endure is still deep in my head. All the injuries, problems & any factor that may cause you to stop the race will just come in.Time to time i have been telling myself not to stop & endure, but i finally stop when i was running on nicoll highway as i suddenly fell a sharp pain on my right chest, i was quite scare at that moment, scare that i might just collapse and knock out, the other thing that im worried is that i cannot finish the run. So i started walking abit & when i felt abit better, i move on again. I can felt the pain on my knees & ankles, cramps also started to come in, ouch! ahaa. Even until now i still cannot feel my legs, got problem walking from point to point. One sad & bad news i heard from a fren after the run was that a captain collapsed and died during the run,9 medic attended to him in less than 30 secs but yet.. haix. Life is really unpredictable. May god bless all the everyone & lastly hope my legs recover soon. =)
